Matthew Ralston, a senior manager of state affairs at Troutman Pepper Strategies, has been named to the Board of Directors for the Women’s Public Leadership Network (WPLN), a non-partisan non-profit that equips and encourages women to seek public office.

“I’m excited to join the board of directors for such an important organization,” Ralston said. “We have a record number of women serving in government. The Women’s Public Leadership Network is fighting to build on this momentum by removing barriers for women and equipping them for roles in all levels of government. I am proud to be an ally.”

In his professional practice, Ralston works with members of the Georgia General Assembly and Executive Branch as an advocate for improvement in several policy areas. He seeks to build strong relationships with trade associations, business leaders, and key coalitions and organizations. Some policy areas he advocates for include agriculture and natural resources, education, higher education, state budget projects, technology, and healthcare.

The Women’s Public Leadership Network (WPLN) is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that educates, organizes, and inspires women to enter public office across the United States. It offers resources and opportunities to identify, engage, and train women to run for elected office, obtain political appointments, and become more involved in the political process.
