Brian Mann is a policy professional in Troutman Pepper Strategies’ Washington, D.C. office, supporting clients on federal legislative and regulatory issues. He brings hands-on experience from Capitol Hill and graduate training in intelligence services and national security policy to help clients navigate Congress and federal agencies.

Before joining Troutman Pepper Strategies, Brian served as a staff assistant on the U.S. Senate Committee on Veterans’ Affairs. In that role, he supported the Committee’s hearings, meetings, and markups by coordinating witnesses and key materials for the chairman, conducted policy research on the Committee’s legislative priorities, and assisted with constituent and stakeholder outreach. Brian also worked with the Committee’s communications team on media monitoring related to veterans’ policy and VA programs.

Brian’s earlier experience on Capitol Hill includes internships in both the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives, where he conducted research on supply chain and trade issues, federal emergency response, national security concerns, criminal justice, and veterans’ affairs, among other issues.

Brian is currently pursuing a master’s degree in National Security and Intelligence at the Texas A&M Bush School of Government and Public Service in Washington, D.C.
